THE ACACIA STRAIN: 'We Are Almost Finished Writing The New Record'

March 12, 2008

Western Massachusetts purveyors of all things heavy THE ACACIA STRAIN have issued the following update:

"We are almost finished writing the new record, we have two more songs to go! We have been in the studio writing and getting ready to record for over two months and we can't wait to get in the studio and lay this stuff down. Looks like we are still shooting for a September release for the record.

"We are going to Europe in July and August. We will be there from July 11th to August 4th. We will be touring with ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY and KNIGHTS OF THE ABYSS. We are looking forward to the tour and getting back over that way. It has been a long time! (For those in other countries we may not get to this time, we are working on it, promise.) Keep checking back for cities and dates!

"June is still a go for a U.S. tour. Bands, cities, etc. to be announced soon."

THE ACACIA STRAIN's latest album, "The Dead Walk", was released in June 2006 through Prosthetic Records. The CD was recorded with Adam Dutkiewicz (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) and has spawned a video for the track "Angry Mob Justice". Watch the clip below.
